Picking two good photos for the Tip Toe barn dance
Updated:
In short
Upload two clear photos, one per role, each showing a single face turned toward the lens. WebP, PNG or JPG, 10 MB tops, 300 to 6000 pixels per side. Blurry, masked or crowded shots perform worst.

Hard limits
- Formats: WebP, PNG or JPG.
- Weight: 10 MB or less for each photo.
- Both sides must be longer than 300 and shorter than 6000 pixels.
- Width divided by height must fall between 0.4 and 2.5, which rules out panoramas and thin strips.
- Using one photo in both boxes is allowed, though it looks a little odd.
What works best
- Even light and a face in focus.
- A face that points at the camera, with eyes and mouth in view.
- One subject only, with a plain or tidy background behind.
- Pets: close up, at eye level, looking at the lens.
What to leave out
- Group shots. The model can lock onto the wrong face.
- Faces behind sunglasses, masks, hands or heavy beauty filters.
- Screenshots that carry buttons or captions on top.
About the people
Only you and adults who agreed should appear. Celebrities, minors and adult content are refused. Please read Photo Consent and Acceptable Use before uploading.
Quick questions
Will an ordinary selfie do?
Yes, for either role, if it's sharp, well lit and shows the whole face.
What if a photo gets turned down?
A note under the upload box says why, usually size, format or shape. Swap the file and try again. Rejected photos cost nothing.
Do I have to use two different photos?
Not strictly, but two different photos give a better scene, since the Dancer and Partner then read as two separate people.
