Hit the Road Dude: Be the Driver

Send a photo of whoever's driving (you, your cat, your dog, a toy), choose the truck and the spot, and get a gruff question, a flat “State?”, the famous send-off and a last demand for your name, finger stabbing at the lens throughout. 15 seconds, vertical, cut to the original's beats so the original sound drops straight in. Eligible new accounts can try a free 5-second preview first.

  • Eligible new accounts: free 5s preview · 15s HD, 1 credit

Four clips from real runs

The clips on Ozil Goal AI below began as AI-made pictures of invented people and a dog, each with its own vehicle and setting. A different photo gives you a different face, different movement and different voices.

How credits work

Hit the Road Dude: common questions

Do I really need only one photo, and can it be a selfie?

Yes to both. The template only wants the driver. A selfie is fine if it's sharp, shows your face and shoulders, and has your eyes on the lens. Mirror shots tend to go badly. Accepted formats are JPG, PNG and WebP up to 10 MB.

What's the story behind Hit the Road Dude?

It's a 2025 TikTok in which an older man in a white pickup catches an angler at a pond. "I thought it was state property," says the angler. "State?" says the driver, and then he tells him to hit the road. Since October 2026, AI tools let anyone put themselves, a pet or a character behind that wheel. Other names include State Property and Lock ’Em Up.

Who posted the original, and how big did it get?

TikTok, August 2025. Know Your Meme logged about 13.7 million views in under a month. We don't name the account or anyone in it, and the man isn't recreated.

What are people saying when they say “hit the road, dude”?

Basically "get lost", delivered with a shrug. The driver snaps it out the moment the angler insists the pond is state property.

Is there a song in it, or the original audio?

Neither. You hear new AI voices saying the lines, faint sound from the place you picked and a quietly idling engine. Because the timing mirrors the original, you can lay the original sound on top in TikTok or Reels once the file is downloaded.

Can I add the original sound and keep everything on the beat?

You can. Cuts, gestures and the start of every line sit at the same seconds as the original, mouth movement included. Download the file, open TikTok or Reels, tap Add sound and choose the original. The video carries its own AI voices and no music, and there's a silent copy if you'd rather start clean.

Does my cat or dog get to drive?

Sure. Use a clear photo of the pet looking at the camera. It'll sit up behind the wheel, paws on the dash, and talk. Grumpy cats are a favourite. Every photo behaves a little differently, so test with the preview.

Is it possible to change the truck or the setting?

Yes, from a short menu. Pick a pickup truck (the default), a steel electric truck, a kids' toy car or a tractor, then a pond (the default), a stadium or a parking lot. Whichever place you choose rewrites the verb in the opening question: fish, play or park. None of it touches the price, and free typing isn't offered.

What length and shape is the finished video?

A full video is 15 seconds at 720p. Vertical 9:16 suits TikTok, Reels and Shorts, while 16:9 gives you a wide frame. Previews are shorter, at 5 seconds and 480p.

How long until it's done?

About two to four minutes in most cases. Leave the page if you want. The result will be in My videos when you come back.

Can I use the generator without paying?

Eligible new accounts can try 1 free preview, capped at one per account for life and one per network every 30 days, on any template. After that each full video is 1 credit and packs start from $9.90. Nothing renews, and finished videos carry no watermark. The 1-credit pack also includes 1 bonus preview. The 3-credit pack also includes 3 bonus previews. The 5-credit pack also includes 5 bonus previews.

How does this compare with a CapCut template or a lip-sync edit?

Both begin with footage you filmed or audio you borrowed. Ozil Goal AI begins with one picture, and it generates the vehicle, the backdrop, the camera moves, the gestures and the speech. Nothing to install.

Where do I write the prompt?

You don't. The driver's seat, the angles, the gestures and the dialogue are baked in, and all you pick is the aspect ratio, the vehicle and the place. To try the scene elsewhere, copy text from the Kling prompt page.

What do creators use to make this trend?

A lot of them cut CapCut lip-sync edits, and some feed prompts to a general AI video model. Ozil Goal AI runs in a browser and is dedicated to this one meme. Upload, pick the truck and the spot, download.

Is the video of the actual man, or linked to him?

No on both. Only your photo goes in. Ozil Goal AI is an independent AI tool, unconnected to the people behind the original clip, TikTok or any other platform. Please don't upload screenshots of him.

What happens when a render fails, and how long do you keep my photos?

If a generation fails, its credits return automatically. An unused pack can be refunded within 7 days, as the refund policy explains. Photos are private and deleted 14 days after upload. See the privacy policy for the rest.

Got someone to send packing?

One photo is all it takes to drive.
