What kind of photo suits the Hit the Road Dude template?
Updated:
Short answer
Use one clear Driver photo: face and shoulders in frame, face toward the camera, a single subject. Save it as a JPG, PNG or WebP under 10 MB, 300 to 6000 pixels a side. Blurred, masked and group shots fare worst.

Hard limits
- Formats: JPG, PNG, WebP.
- Weight: no more than 10 MB.
- Resolution: over 300 and under 6000 pixels per side.
- Proportions: a width-to-height ratio of 0.4 to 2.5, which rules out panoramas and thin strips.
- A single picture, of the Driver.
What looks best
- Light that is soft and even, on a crisp subject.
- Eyes and mouth in view, face toward the lens. The lips have to move.
- Face and shoulders in shot. The clip is a medium close-up through the driver's window.
- Pets: an eye-level shot taken from the front, up close.
- Toys and drawings: the whole figure, nothing cut off.
What to avoid
- Group pictures. The model may fix on the wrong face.
- Sunglasses, masks, a hand over the face, strong beauty filters.
- Screenshots with buttons or captions on top.
- Stills from the original clip, celebrities, famous copyrighted characters.
People, pets and characters
Stick to yourself, adults who've agreed, and pets, toys or drawings that belong to you. Celebrities, minors and adult content aren't allowed. Skim Photo Consent and Acceptable Use first. If you're unsure about a photo, leave it out. A different shot costs nothing, and a rejected upload is never charged.
Questions people ask
Should I add a vehicle photo?
No, the truck and the setting are generated. Just the driver.
Will a selfie do?
It will, when it's crisp, well lit and shows your whole face with no cropping.
What if the upload gets rejected?
A message under the box tells you what's wrong, whether size, format or shape. Fix it and upload again. Rejections cost nothing.
